I know it is possible to past the text into word by using the “paste” drop down menu and select Keep text only, but this is cumbersome and disrupts my workflow. Since then the text gets pasted into Word as a picture that I cannot edit. Since 2018 I have not been able to paste text into Word using the Command V shortcut. Like I said this used to work fine for many years. This is a proses I do numerus times a day (sometimes hundreds) as this is part of my main workload. Since 2011 until 2018 I was able to use my keyboard shortcuts to copy text from Illustrator and paste it into Word for editing and refining. I do this for technical drawings, sketchbooks and any other 2D design and presentation work.
I copy text from illustrator and past it into Word for editing and then past it back into Illustrator when I am done with the word editing.
